SHIPPING: MOST Items on the ARTSHIP site are one-of-a-kind and vary greatly in weight, size and fragility. ITEMS under one pound in weight WILL BE SHIPPED FREE-- our gift to you-- unless it is extremely delicate and needs special packaging. Some of the items will be shipped by the artist or craftsman directly. If we ship the item, we will charge you the exact amount which the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, or the freight Co. requires for its size and weight including packing materials, insurance, shipping method you specify, and geographical zone. When you place an order with us, we will respond to you by email, quoting the exact shipping charges. You may then complete your order by email or telephone, as you prefer. The item will then be shipped to you from 1 to 3 weeks of the processing of your order, and you will receive another confirming email giving you ship date and the tracking number. FREIGHT CHARGES: we have access to several dozen freight-shipping companies and can obtain competitive quotes. Even the largest, heaviest piece of furniture can be delivered in New England for $ 150, or shipped across the country bu UPS or a competitive freight company. ASK US.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES: If what you receive is not the item you ordered, phone us immediately so that we can correct your order. Re-wrap the item you received in the exact shipping materials in which you received it, and we will have the item picked up. If you have had an item custom-made, no exchange is permitted, unless of course what you received is broken or NOT what you ordered. For all in-stock items, you may return an item you ordered (but decided not to keep) by shipping it back to us at your cost, in lieu of an ARTSHIP CREDIT OR GIFT CERTIFICATE for the amount of your original purchase. For ITEMS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT, telephone us immediately so we can discuss your preference as to exchange or refund; rewrap the item in the packing materials in which it arrived, and we will have the item picked up.
