Audubon's Birds of America, the best-known bird book in the world, was originally presented in the mid-1800's by Audubon and his engraver , Havell. First editions of the work are available for $ 75,000 to $ 90,000. The Audubon Society printing of 1981 is the Roger Tory Peterson edition copyrighted 1981 in New York. It is 16" high, weighs 55 pounds, and comes in its original color, linen-covered box; it contains 435 beautiful reproductions of Audubon's scholarly masterpieces, some of which fold out. More modern editions are available in smaller format, but they lack the beauty and presence of the 1981 presentation, which has a feel closer to the original. This book is in excellent condition and is offered here for $ 535.00.

We also offer prints of every one of the beautiful birds in this book. Reproductions are currently being offered on the web for $ 30.00 unframed to $ 225.00 framed-- we offer each, 12" X 15 " unframed for $ 26.50, or matted and framed in black silk metal for $ 89.50.
As we develop this page further we will tantalize you with images of some of the breathtaking birds of Audubon's world.
